About Kinora
Helping families orient themselves — gently, clearly, together
We started Kinora because families often have no neutral, educational place to gather knowledge and practise communication skills. We created one.
Back to HomeOur Story
A calm space that families kept asking for
Kinora grew out of conversations between facilitators and organisers who noticed a gap: families in Thailand — both local and international — had very few places to learn general communication skills in a structured, non-judgmental setting. Regulated services existed, but general education, peer connection, and practical household tools did not.
We opened our first workshop space on Phuket Road in 2021 with a single session and a small group of curious families. The response was clear and steady. Over the following years, we expanded into household organisation tools and a yearlong community membership, while keeping the same unhurried approach at the centre of everything.
Today Kinora is a small, focused team. We do not offer personal advice, counselling, or any regulated professional service. What we offer is well-designed general education — and a community that holds that purpose with care.
Mission
To give families in Thailand accessible, pressure-free general education around communication, coordination, and community — so they can make their own thoughtful decisions.
Vision
A Thailand where every family has easy access to the skills and information they need to navigate life together — calmly and with confidence.
Values
Calm over urgency. Clarity over jargon. Respect over judgment. Education over advice. Community over competition.
The People
A small team with a clear purpose
Everyone at Kinora is here because they believe that accessible, honest education can make a real difference to families.

How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Education-only framing
Every programme is designed as general learning. We do not provide individual advice, personal referrals, or conclusions about specific situations.
Privacy by design
Session content stays within the group. Personal information shared by participants is handled with discretion and never used outside the programme.
Moderated community spaces
Our peer groups operate under clear participation guidelines. A trained moderator is present in every session and manages the space actively.
Thoughtfully designed materials
Templates, reflection sheets, and resource packs are reviewed regularly to make sure they remain clear, practical, and genuinely useful.
Participant feedback loops
We collect feedback after every workshop and at regular intervals in the community year. What participants share shapes how we improve.
Inclusive by intention
All sessions are held in plain English. We welcome families from all backgrounds and structures, with no assumptions about how a family should look or work.
About Our Work
Family education as a daily practice
Families in Phuket and across Thailand face a wide range of everyday decisions — from organising shared documents and schedules to finding ways to talk through different viewpoints. These are not unusual challenges. They are part of ordinary family life. What many families find they lack is not the willingness to work on them, but a structured, calm place to learn how.
Kinora exists to fill that space. Our communication workshops draw on established discussion frameworks and facilitation practices to help participants understand how different perspectives form, how shared understanding can be built, and what practical steps support ongoing dialogue. The goal is always to give participants tools they can carry into their own lives — not answers we have decided for them.
The Household Information Hub programme takes a different angle. Many families hold their important information in fragments — a document here, a number there, a schedule nobody has written down. When coordination depends on memory, small gaps become large ones. Our guided setup and template system gives families a structured way to gather and maintain the information that keeps daily life running.
The Caring Community membership brings both of these threads together in an ongoing setting. Members join moderated peer groups, access curated general-topic resources, and participate in live sessions that open up subjects relevant to family life — without anyone being placed in the role of expert or patient. It is simply a thoughtful group learning together over time.
Kinora is based at 41 Phuket Road, Talat Yai, and is happy to welcome enquiries from families across Thailand by phone, email, or in person during working hours.
